Sandra Gildea, Manager of Stenographic Reporters, Department of
Industrial Accidents, State of MA
"At the Department of Industrial Accidents in Boston, Massachusetts,
we have 22 court reporters. Two years ago we purchased Case CATalyst and
laptops
for all our court reporters. Our goal was to work towards realtime writing
in the courtroom. It was a huge undertaking. It would take serious training
and topnotch trainers to help us in this transition. By a stroke of luck,
I was directed to Gayl Hardeman, who conducted onsite training for both
the stenomachine writers and the voice writers. Gayl gave intensive training
on realtime writing techniques and using Case CATalyst. Everyone who took
the training said that they were helped tremendously in improving their
writing for realtime and their editing abilities on Case CATalyst. Gayl
will return again in September and we can’t wait."
